This week, the price of DC-side battery cabins experienced relatively small fluctuations. The average price of a 5MWh DC-side battery cabin was 0.43 yuan/Wh, while the average price of 3.44/3.77MWh DC-side battery cabins was 0.438 yuan/Wh. As the node for the full marketization of on-grid tariffs for incremental projects under Document No. 136 approaches, the detailed rules for the participation of energy storage in the power market mechanism are being successively introduced in various provinces. Before these rules are finalized, project owners are adopting a wait-and-see attitude. This week, the supply-demand pattern of the ESS market remained stable, with minimal price fluctuations for DC-side battery cabins. SMM predicts that the price of DC-side battery cabins may continue to fluctuate slightly in the short term.

On May 16, the winning bid result for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) + Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the 1,000MW/6,000MWh power supply-side ESS project in Chayouzhongqi, Ulanqab City was announced. The project is located in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a scale of 1,000MW/6,000MWh. The bid winner offered a quotation of 6,252,099,970.35 yuan, which translates to a winning unit price of 1.042 yuan/Wh after conversion.
